Insurance Definitions

The following lists the types of insurance which may be carried by FINITE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. at any given time. These descriptions are only a brief generic descriptions of common commercial insurance. Please contact the Risk Management department for a detailed description of coverage.

Policy Types

Worldwide Property - Covers catastrophic losses resulting from physical damages to plants, equipment, and other physical assets.

General Liability (GL) Insurance - insures against third party bodily injury or property damage losses arising from normal business operations.

Automobile Liability (AL) Insurance - insures against third party bodily injury or property damage losses arising from the use or maintenance of vehicles.

Excess/Umbrella Liability Insurance - a policy that provides coverage once the primary policy limit is exhausted. This used in combination with GL and AL to meet Company-required limits.

Workers' Compensation (WC) Insurance - insures employees against on-the-job injury without the employee having to prove that the employer was liable for the injuries.

Employer's Liability Insurance (EL) - covers liability of FINITE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. for injuries to employees - this coverage is considered part of workers' compensation.

Transit - Insures shipment against all risks of physical loss or damage from any external cause.

Electronics Errors & Omissions (E&O) - Covers damages from the failure of FINITE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. 's hardware and software to perform the function or serve the purpose intended.

Aircraft Products Liability - Insures against bodily injury or property damage and/or grounding caused by an accident arising out of an FINITE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. aircraft related product.

Fiduciary (dishonesty, disappearance and destruction) - Covers liability of FINITE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. in the management and administration of covered welfare and benefit plans.

Fidelity/Employee Crime - Coverage for employee theft of money, securities or property as well as counterfeit currency, depositors and credit card forgery and computer fraud.

Directors' & Officers' Liability (D&O) - Covers liability for claims alleging wrongful acts of Directors, Officers and employees at or above operating Director level.
